Shared that the SEC commissioner several days ago was advocating that automatic bids to small conferences should be eliminated and given to power 6 conferences as they are too valuable not to be given to deserving team in the Big Conference.
Last night the champion of the Horizon League beat the bellwether program of the SEC, Kentucky.
Kind of makes the SEC Commissioner look like a dimwitt.

I still can't believe we lost to this incredibly mediocre FAU team to go to the final 4. Just classic K-State.

A lot of regrets from that game. Keyonte only playing 18 minutes due to ticky tack foul trouble, the Cats just pretty much letting the Russian kid have his way inside, the Cats forgetting that when the other team shoots and misses you are supposed to go grab the ball, it is called rebounding, we kind of forgot that aspect of the game against FAU. That one still hurts.

Add mighty Yale to that list with their win over Auburn, who finished second in the SEC.SCKSCat wrote: ↑March 22nd, 2024, 11:59 amderek.young@twitter

By the way, unless I missed a game, the SEC is currently 1-5 in the Tourney. A&M and NU are tied at 22 as I type this.
ETA: It is now 85-64 in favor of A&M. Unless NU mounts a major comeback, it looks like their Tourney winless streak will continue.

I have been watching Arizona. Man it is fun to watch real basketball in action.
AZ passing is great. They score from all 3 levels. Love is what a point guard should be.

So will KU get to the Sweet 16?
Close at halftime against Gongzaga.
Since KU gets government handouts from Governor, they better win.

They also get handouts from the refs in close games. That won't be the case today. Just checked the score. With 7:58 to go in the game, Gonzaga is up 74-53. KU has been outscored 31-9 this half.

So ku was preseason consensus #1
Was said to have the #1 portal recruiting class.
Was the fav to win the big 12.
Hunter posted how he was given 6 figures to come play for ku so deal with it and rumors were it was between $700k and $800k.
So how’d that all work out for them? How much better of a season did they have compared to KSU? A 6th place finish (10-8) vs a 10th (8-10). Both were out of the Big12 tournament same round. Ku got two ncaa tournament games, but one being blown out.
Was it money well spent for ku????
