Looked like the staff was out in full force yesterday across the state. Pretty much the entire staff was in Goodland to see Lincoln Cure and also in Derby to see Deshawn Brame. I am sure there were multiple other stops as well but those are the two that I saw on Twitter. Just thought it was interesting that like our entire offensive staff was in the picture with Brame. Looked like the full court press.
Brame is a K-State legacy as both his parents went to KSU and also played sports for the Wildcats; his dad was a FB player under coach Snyder & his mom played basketball at K-State. I think we've probably got a good shot at signing him. KSU made his Top-8 choices.
I checked Brame's 247 page and he looks to be an Oregon lean at this point.

Linkon Cure's 247 page has him leaning toward K-State.

Interesting that they both play TE. I suppose we would go with the first one to commit to us, but who knows?

With Oakley coming back & other returning TEs I would think KSU would take only one TE in the 2025 class.

He's got next level skills. Any NFL Team that takes a chance on Ben won't be disappointed.

I think we would gladly take both Brame and Cure if we can get them.
I really like the idea of playing 2 tight ends at the same time if we have the talent. They could block and serve as receivers. Then get some burners at wide receiver and with Avery and Giddens we would be a load.

I think we will definitely take both if we can get them. We didn't take a TE in the 2024 class, mainly I think because they knew they wanted these two guys and we added Anciaux and Metzger in the 2023 class. I also listented to a podcast with Ryan Wallace last summer when he and the KU guys discuss instate recruits and they were saying they were not sure if Brame was a TE or a tackle at the college level. They said some of the coaches they talked to weren't sure at that point. That was before he had done much on the field and he did have a good year catching the ball this year, but his position could still be up in the air.

Maybe he could serve as both. Strong side on running downs and move him around for protection and release valve on passing downs. If Avery escapes contain, he could be the lead blocker. If he is fast enough. Think Cooper Beebe on the fake punt.
