Hey learnin'
Watching gooners and huggie. Robbie Hummel doing color. Hummel says "I like the way the officials are letting them play in the post. You HAVE to be able to stand your ground in there".

In other words, Huggs knew what it was going to take in order to make it close. And, in other words, you have to take a licking and keep on ticking......hilltopwildcat wrote: ↑March 13th, 2019, 9:38 pmWatching gooners and huggie. Robbie Hummel doing color. Something like that. We both agree it's too rough down low and this is the universal mindset that perpetuates it.learnin wrote: ↑March 13th, 2019, 10:08 pmIn other words, Huggs knew what it was going to take in order to make it close. While we're at it, let's eliminate the statement in the preface to the rule book that says the rules are there to balance the game between offense and defense. We can also eliminate the carrying the ball rule, nobody dribbles anymore. The offensive foul rule can also be done away with. After watching post players knock the defenders down especially if there's a size mismatch, the dribblers can now extend their off arm and keep defenders away from them. I'm sure I'll come up with other rules. Tackling seems to be permitted at times as well.

It's ok to extend your leg while in the act of shooting to draw contact and thus a foul on the defender. McGuirl today!
