think spring is here

out side (where life is best) and enjoying an activity that allows me to just FOCUS and be in the moment.

up over the mountain today to a pretty little highland reservoir chasing smallmouth. great start to the day. on the way to the lake, I also get to check on local wheat (soft red) progress. as a KS native/transplant, there's something about wheat fields that's just 'in the blood'. never ever gets old. and as any of us who've ever been in the flinthills in spring know: redbuds are starting to bloom. oh my!

oh, and the object of the trip? they're winding up...

Ahh, signs of spring. For me here, it is hearing all the birds singing and getting started in my garden. Almost there. :)

Thanks for the pics.

Thanks for sharing. Spring in NOT at my home. No robins yet, but pair of bluebirds are checking out their annual nest box. Cold and chilly. Ain't tried fishing yet.

What part of Tejas, RZ?

I've an old classmate at Bridgeport, friend at Bowie, kin at Weatherford and Leander. One lives on the Brazos and their fishing dock is subject to flooding.

Still looking for the robins and the purple martins. It's not really spring until those birds make an appearance.

Almost time to mow the henbit/yard.
