It's long overdue, but I have a lot of memories tied to those two buildings.....Weber and Call. As a food science grad, I spent a majority of my time there along with a part-time job working in a lab in Weber. I wonder how they'll incorporate the dairy bar into this?

Here is more detail about the Call Hall and Weber Hall renovations:

https://www.k-state.edu/ag-innovation/f ... novations/

I am out of the loop on these planned proceedings, but it appears that Call Hall and Weber Hall are essentially being tied together and renovated. There will be a new learning pavilion for Animal Sciences and Industry so that students can have hands-on learning experiences with live animals in an on-campus setting. I don't know if the learning pavilion will be in a renovated Weber Arena or if Weber Arena will be taken down to provide the space for it. The fact that there is no current name for the learning pavilion suggests that K-State is looking for donors for a name for the facility. So here is an opportunity to get out your checkbooks and support K-State. There will also be a new Global Center for Grain and Food Innovation that provides some needed space for the Grain Science and Industry Department. As mentioned by tmcats, the Bilbrey Family Event Center will provide a 3000-seat arena on the north side of Kimball Avenue that replaces Weber Arena. This overall building effort is long overdue. This progress shows the excellent work by President LInton and administration from the College of Agriculture.
