What do you think?

Not sure if this is real or not, but if it is, what does it mean? An article from 2012.

Is ruling in the genes? All presidents bar one are directly descended from a medieval English king
What do Barack Obama, Thomas Jefferson, George W. Bush and the other past U.S. presidents have in common? Besides holding the coveted title of commander-in-chief, it appears that all of them but one are cousins.

That's a neat story. It does make you wonder. Family trees can be fascinating. With a name like d'Avignon, she shouldn't have any trouble knowing where in France to start looking for relatives.

I discovered, just last night that I am a direct descendant of at least three families that came over on the Mayflower. I've been working on a family tree for some time now through Ancestry.com and noticed that one line of my family tree went back to the 1600s in Plymouth, Massachusetts. I kept going back until I got to an ancestor named John Howland who was born in 1627 in Plymouth, which was seven years after the Mayflower arrived. Then I saw that John's father had the same name and he and his wife Elizabeth Tilley (and her family) came over from England. So I looked up the passenger list for the Mayflower and there they were! More research turned up that I am also a descendant of the Brewster and Fuller families who were also on the Mayflower. Pretty neat, although I'm sure those families must have tens of thousands of descendants living today.

Just a note: My family traces back to Andrew Jackson and Abe Lincoln.

A family friend of my paternal great-grandmother apparently knew the Mary Todd family and reported to my GGM that the Todd's were really disappointed at daughter Mary's marriage to such a commoner as Abe Lincoln.

Do you like synthetic computer generated pop music they play in store and restaurants?
We ate a early free pie & supper and they played this at the restaurant we ate at.
10 more minutes listening to this kind of music and I would have barfed.
Same old crap song after song, techno beats with some some AI soundtrack
Give 60s and 70s rock and hillbilly southern rock, now that's music.

I think they call it "Muzak." Probably because it's not real music. When I hear it played in stores, I wonder if they are trying to get their customers to leave sooner.
