I listened to it on the radio. It sounded like Peyton had an excellent offensive game with 25 points, Kayla had an excellent floor game with 5 dimes, and Shay did yeoman work on the glass with 11 boards.

Peyton Williams never ceases to amaze me. Unfortunately, she is going to have to be Super Woman for the Cats to do well in the conference.

Watched the game. We played hard throughout. We could be really competitive in conference if just one of our new big players could develop quickly. I think Ashley Ray could develop faster than Mary Lakes. She seems to be a little better afoot and quicker, but both of them haven't learned to rebound yet. We will need a better presence at the center from one of those 2 spelling Peyton Williams.

This team has lots of potential, but reality is going to hit when we get into the Big 12. The new bigs, Ray and Lakes, need to develop more of a floor presence without getting into foul trouble, which has been a problem for both. At this point, Ray is the better offensive player, but Lakes has more of a presence on defense and gets into better rebounding position. We also need Middlebrook to get well so that we have the versatility of playing either Goth or Middlebrook at point guard. Goth will wear down in Big 12 play if she continues to play 30+ minutes at the point. Goth will present match-up problems for some of the Big 12 teams, but she needs to stay fresh.
