K-State vs West Virginia

Post by purpleprairiecat » March 9th, 2024, 9:34 pm

Can't believe there is not a thread on this game yet. Perhaps, everyone is watching the game in person in Kansas City. WVU started red hot, but they have cooled off a bit. They have been speeding K-State up and getting them out of their rhythm. Too many turnovers for the Cats. Need to slow it down and make WVU play defense.

Pick 'Em

One team came out ready and the other not so much. Fortunately they still managed to keep it fairly close. But defense is poor and the offense looks likes the men’s with the turnovers.

They may have come in as healthy as they’ve been this year but not very well prepared.

Cats are up 34 to 31 at the half. WVU is getting away with a ton of moving high ball screens.

Pick 'Em

Ladies did a nice job of getting back in and taking the lead. And I was saying in the first quarter they needed to switch to zone and it appears Mittie heard me. 😜

Now hopefully they come out the second half on fire and move on to a huge game against Texas.

They’ve turned it around. Didn’t get frazzled when they got down. Looking good. Yokie is killin’ it.

16 points for Lee with 8 rebounds. Looks like she has most of her mobility back.

From the bits I've seen so far, Ayoka is looking pretty healthy, and I hope that's the case. Nice comeback, and keep it up, 'Cats!

We have not made a 3 point shot in the game. I hope that changes in the second half, but we are ahead without them.

The zone defense has really forced WVU out of rhythm. I don't think we can play zone the rest of the game.

We need to open a 20 point lead.
