She has also greatly improved her defense as well as her shot around the rim. She shoots the ball much softer than she used to. As tmcats mentioned, she would be difficult to stop if she developed a short to medium range jump shot.Catalum wrote: ↑February 27th, 2024, 4:51 pmMaupin is a very athletic young lady.tmcats wrote: ↑February 26th, 2024, 5:04 pmi guess we don't see lee and maupin together because eliza doesn't have much of a jump shot, yet. but a high/low post game with those two would be interesting to watch. and yes, sides at point seems to give this team more flow leaving the off-guard position open for serena's considerable offensive game. she's another who seems somewhat weary having carried the cats through lee's injury.

Yokie should be able to pin her defender on her hip then pick Maupin's defender as she makes her move to the hoop. Could result in uncontested Bunnies.

KU and ISU ran the same pick and pop. Open shots every time. Lee sags in the paint. She is either too slow, not quick enough, or too injured to hedge. Mittie stands there with arms crossed not knowing what to do.
I’m not a Mittie fan. I don’t see any fire or adjustments.

Same not a Mittie fan. Take a time out with 30 some seconds, don't draw up a quick play? At the end he had Maupin guarding the inbound play but she wasn't on the ball, stood off to side and was no help in making the pass difficult. Somebody guard #24... please. So many questionable decisions tonight had me scratching my head. I like these girls but they are not consistent and no way should they have ever been a #2 team.pipe95 wrote: ↑February 28th, 2024, 10:13 pmKU and ISU ran the same pick and pop. Open shots every time. Love the seniors, I hope Ayoka stays but if I were her, I'd enter the portal and go play for a good coach and program where your perimeter players are consistent.
Now I did like our 1st quarter efforts, we had been starting off sluggish.
I'm just disappointed in the coaching. I'm still hopeful for March though.
