espn projects as a two seed starting tournament in manhattan. avoiding usc,e region would be a good outcome.

Number 8 is about right considering the last two losses. If the Bracketology is correct, I like the placement of the Cats in the Portland 2 regional. I saw the Gonzaga vs Stanford game in person. It was played in the Kennel in Spokane. Gonzaga was hot and smoked Stanford by 18. Stanford's best player, Brinks, did not play in the second half. She was sick, but Gonzaga was already well ahead in that game. In my opinion, Stanford is over rated as a #1 seed in the Portland 2 regional. They are more of a finesse team and will not match well with physical teams from the Big 12, SEC, or Big 10. The Bracketology has Gonzaga in the Portland 3 regional. They are hard to play, especially if they are successful getting their run game going and shooting in transition. They have two athletic twins playing guard who are 6th year seniors. Gonzaga also has an athletic 6'1" forward, Ejim, who is as good as any forward in the country. All five starters shoot the 3. In the NCAA tournament, Gonzaga will live and die by the 3.

It's interesting that Texas is now one ahead of us when they have lost to us, Oklahoma and Baylor. I guess now they are "overrated".

Time to start our climb back to the top. Can only afford one more loss. Hopefully Lee will be back sooner than later.

Lee worked out today. Return date will depend on x-rays and mri later this week.

#2 iowa loses at lincoln to unranked nubs - fun game in a great atmosphere;
#11 uconn demolished by #1 usc,e - not sure anyone challenges the gamecocks;
#3 colorado falls at home by six to #17 oregon state - p12 is loaded;
#18 baylor rights the ship taking down #22 wvu which falls to 9-3 in b12 play - helps k-state;
but #24 ou (11-1) smacks ames 86-72 in their own crib - sooners ranked way too low.

cats now alone in second one behind oklahoma. ou till has baylor, @ wvu, and texas on their schedule. any of the three or all could be problematic for the red-dirt-society.
Why is there something rather than nothing?
