they shouldn't wait long to hang yoki's banner in the rafters. what a great college player and wonderful personality. give me her over beasley a hundred thousand times.

Gregory said. “I’ve never played with somebody like this before. It’s just been a lot of fun and a work in progress. I think every game, everyone is just getting the offense, and everything is just flowing so much better every game. I think it’ll be scary come March.”

If I've said it once I have said it a hundred times, Yoki is a total class act, what a sweetheart. She will be in the rafters, no doubt. If she stays healthy all year the sky is the limit.

Ayoka Lee sailed into the record books by posting her 53rd career double-double, the most by any player in school history, as No. 12 Kansas State thumped Oral Roberts.

yoki just passed the legendary kendra wecker.

Lee joins Nicole Ohlde (7) and Kendra Wecker (7) as the only Wildcats in program history with six or more Big 12 Player of the Week honors. When including her Big 12 record 12 Freshman of the Week recognitions from the 2019-20 season, Lee has received 18 Big 12 weekly honors during her K-State career. kstatesports

i don't know if this year's team is better than kendra's 2003, but i think so. that team didn't have a point guard. kari hanson was north dakota poy but had gotten ill and left basketball her freshman/sophomore season. so laurie koehn was left to play point way too much and that wasn't her thing. unlike this team losing to iowa early that one clobbered the hawkeyes but lost early at stanford, finished as conference champions at 14-2, 29-5 overall after losing here in the regionals to notre dame in a horrible performance, completely outcoached by nd's legendary muffet mcgraw.

this year's team is much deeper and has an excellent point guard, two actually with sundell and sides off the pine. yoki and ohlde are probably equals. both great, in-the-rafters college players. gabby could be as good as kendra on some nights - a very high hurdle - but not most. there's no megan mahoney but the glenns and sanchez are better as a group. and depth isn't close - this team is loaded, that one had a short bench. i never cared for deb's coaching. so give the advantage there to coach mittie and staff. "i think it’ll be scary come march.” let's go!
