1 fg in the entire 3rd quarter? Mittie is so inept. I didn't think he could top his 14 pts in a half that he had, but this is looking like Kstate will be lucky to score 28 for the game. Lol. Hopefully UT will put in their scrubs and we can break 30.

Cats have scored 42. Your constant criticism of the Cats is duly noted.

Wow! 42! Huge 4th quarter! It's not criticism of the Cats, just their head coach who is out of his league. You think Mittie is a good coach? Duly noted.purpleprairiecat wrote: ↑March 10th, 2023, 4:33 pmCats have scored 42. Your constant criticism of the Cats is duly noted.

I'll never understand Mittie's strategy for in-bounding the ball after the other team's basket. Texas had two defenders hounding one K-Stater and the pass was extremely difficult to make. He stuck with it until the game was decided. That, plus we didn't even try man-to-man defense.
Sure hope Serena Sundell didn't hurt her knee with her fall in the last 2 minutes of the game.

If you read this board, you would know that I already stated my opinion about Mittie:Wyldkatz wrote: ↑March 10th, 2023, 5:21 pmWow! 42! Huge 4th quarter! The Cats lost by 18 to a quality Texas team that will probably be a Final 8 team at least. The Cats played hard and determined. They deserve fan support not constant criticism. K-State does not match up well with Texas, especially with the help Texas received from the refs in the second half. I was hoping they would play OU, which would have been a better match up for them. Tournaments are very much about match ups.
Exactly what is your criticism of Mittie's coaching in the game played today? I thought he had a good overall game plan. As usual, I didn't like his zone defense, but it was very effective in the first half.

I don't understand the in-bound play either. As usual, I didn't like Mittie's zone defense, but it was effective in the first half. I thought we should have tried man-to-man when the zone wasn't working in the 2nd half. Perhaps we were too worn down by that time to play man. The Texas bench wore us down in the second half.ToledoCat#3 wrote: ↑March 10th, 2023, 6:15 pmI'll never understand Mittie's strategy for in-bounding the ball after the other team's basket. I think Sundell hurt her ankle again. I sure hope she is ok. I don't know about how others feel about Texas, but I dislike the team and the coach. They play dirty, and I am sure the coach has taught them to play that way. I hope Texas gets their butt kicked in the NCAA.

Yes, unfortunately he learned coaching dirty play as an assistant coach with Gary Blair, first at Arkansas (my alma mater) and then at Texas A&M.
