Has anyone seen her play and how does she compare to Sundell? Besides the obvious height difference.
Could she backup Sundell next year at pg? As there really didn’t seem to be anyone who could really fill that roll this past year.

I’ve seen about 45 games of hers.
She can definitely play point guard behind Sundell. She is a great ball handler with a deep 3 point shot. 45% from 3….88% FT. And her defense is underrated.

We have been court-side to watch Taryn Sides play on 3 difference occasions. Once as a junior and twice this past season. Taryn comes from a basketball family. She has basketball savvy! She see the floor. She is selfless and distributes the ball freely with wise decisions. Small stature, but #22 KSU football player was small. She is small, but KSU's #1 basketball player this past season was not a very big guy. From what we've observed she has the potential of becoming a solid play-maker in the near future. Taryn is intelligent, kind, polite, passionate, respectful and has a personality much like Kindred Wessemann. The question is, will she start as a freshman? K-State started 3 freshmen player a year ago. If Gabby was not returning, Taryn would be in the starting lineup. (In our humble opinion!)

so, can she push sundell to the shooting guard position where i believe she would excel?
Why is there something rather than nothing?
tmcats......... Now you are catching on ........... catfan28 & oldcat8 have been explaining, Sides is an intelligent, savvy player! She may be only 5'7" (in high heels), but she has the potential of becoming another Kindred Wessmann. She is K-State's women's basketball equivalent to football's Avery Johnson! She could help Sundell become a better scoring shooter by stepping into a point position after she has learned the "play-book" and gained some experience.
Just sit back and relax. There will be a lot of 'shuffling' of players before Conference play stats in January. Give Sides time! She will move to the front.

I don't usually get too excited by reading about recruiting, but this just came across my Twitter feed:
https://twitter.com/soma24_/status/1679 ... 63712?s=20
This is Soma Okolo from Texas. From what I have read, she is a 6'1" power forward who will be a junior next year. Based on her Twitter account, she has many offers including from Iowa State, Houston, Wichita State, UNLV, LA Tech, BYU, St. Johns, SMU, and many others. Based on the video clips, she is athletic and quick and can shoot 3s. What is the inside scoop on this prospect?

Laurie Koehn and Brittany Chambers were 5-8.
