Kaosi Ezeagu UTEP transfer

Post by gdgjr78 » January 13th, 2020, 8:35 pm

6-10 soph averaged 3 pts and 3 rbs, shot 47.5% from the FT line. I guess I'm a glass half empty guy because this looks like another scholarship we are throwing at a big man that will not play many minutes.

This guy sounds like a stud. But seeing a post about UTEP makes me think of the UTEP two step. Now that was and unstoppable move. I wonder why nobody emulates it? Kind of like the sky hook. Greatest shot ever, and nobody tries to copy it.

Hard to say what he’ll be, but you got to keep trying. He shows athleticism, explosion and looks like he has potential to be a rim protector. Something I don’t think we’ve had since JO.

I hope you're wrong, but somehow that 47.5% doesn't sit well considering our history. But, hey, if he can catch the ball, that's something.
At any rate, welcome Kaosi!

Scholarships are now imbalanced again. 5 new players with 4 scholarships to give. Personally, I don’t think Shad or Love will leave the program.

Kind of disappointed, even though he’s a bad recruiter. I think Bruce could have found someone a little better. He wasn’t even great at UTEP, and UTEP was not good last year. He will be immediately eligible to play this fall though.

Why is there something rather than nothing?

Sounds like a good scrimmage partner for Davion Bradford.

He averaged those stats in an average of 12 minutes a game. If he were playing 30 minutes he's be close to a double-double as a true freshman. UTEP was 5 deep in the post which is why he redshirted and is now looking to transfer. As far as FT%, it's a fairly small sample size. He shot 56.9% from the field. Scouting report out of high school had him as a decent three point shooter. I think this is a great addition. Sounds like when he does get it in the post, he's putting it home. (Edited for typos)
