Why is there something rather than nothing?

Guys, the national media hates us. Listening to national sports radio talk this morning and K-State was pretty much lambasted. I guess the president of CBS said yesterday that K-State beating Kentucky really "hurt" them. All because a 19 year old kid can't make free throws. The host stated that he didn't even know that K-State was playing Loyola in an elite 8 game. Then he interviewed Jay Bilas. Bilas espoused reseeding the final 4 so that they could get a championship that people wanted to see. He also didn't think we were good enough, and the only reason we advanced was because the bracket was so easy for us. Too bad Jay, we think you're a piece of crap too.

He just couldn't stand the thought that a group of 3, and couple of 4 stars, could shut down all those NBA five stars from scoring. So, he came up with K-State just beating them to death.KITNooga wrote:

'MOMMY! they're not playing nice!' just watched the game on DVR for second time. I did not see KSU physically pushing UK around any more than UK was pushing us around. See some of Sneed's fouls.
and I've seen a lot MORE physical play in the Big XII.
you know, I was worried that quick whistles in the Big XII would lead us to early exits in the NCAA for playing soft. the NCAA where refs routinely swallow whistles and 'let them play'.
and here we have a guy who's 'been there' complaining?
it was all about the wrong team winning. in his world.

Is he referring to the KU team that Oklahoma State beat twice?
They want to see a 90-89 game where each team just goes down and puts it in the hoop 2 out of 3 possessions. Along the way, you can have more "wow" moments, but at the end of the day, basketball should be more than just throwing it through the hoop. As I've written many times in the past, the DANCE summarizes it all up. Give us monopoly, cheating and carnival. We want 10 blue bloods with all the talent and we want to see the ball go through the hoop with dazzling dunks and long 3s.

The tournament is about unexpected upsets as much as anything. That also makes a good story. K state beating Kentucky without our best player is part of it.

This is absolutely sickening and something ought to be done about it. If this isn't absolute proof that the deck is stacked against the K-States of the world, then nothing is. This year has been like a giant sword, which slices through and empties out all the vile, corrupt guts that exist in college basketball. Over the years, I've mentioned about how the college sports world is geared to big money and it loves cheating and blue bloods. This is why Kansas continues it's streak over the years. Bilas wants Kansas, Texas or Oklahoma to be in the club. He wants the others to shut their dam_ _d
mouths and be quiet. It's so obvious. But when you mention this obvious bias, many K-State fans blast you for thinking there's some "conspiracy" afoot or that there is bias against the K-States of the world.
