Would love to see the Cats get fired up for the NIT, but it will be tough for Perry & team to not be in a downer mode. Doubt that Tylor is too enthused to be in the NIT two years in a row after winning the tourney last year.
So, I'm hoping that Coach Tang can make his team believe in making lemonade from lemons.

It would be a chance for Tang to win a championship, as they will be one of the favorites, and also Perry to win two MVP's, which probably has never been done since the 40's and 50's.ToledoCat#3 wrote: ↑March 17th, 2024, 5:48 pmWould love to see the Cats get fired up for the NIT, but it will be tough for Perry & team to not be in a downer mode. Who would sit this out? You've got potential teams like Iowa, Oklahoma, Indiana State and others who were on the bubble to participate. It could be a strong field!

I don't think it does anything for you portal wise if you sit it out. The players want to keep playing as well. It is a mistake to start thinking you are too good for something.

According to the NIT Bracketology site, Memphis, Indiana, and Ole Miss have said they will decline an invitation.

Let teams opt out if they prefer ... and live with the consequences.
My preference is for the Cans to keep playing. After all, it's still a game, not the end all.

Slime ball Pitino said St. John's would not accept a bid, which is great, takes a low character coach and program out of the fieldstlcatfan wrote: ↑March 17th, 2024, 7:20 pmAccording to the NIT Bracketology site, Memphis, Indiana, and Ole Miss have said they will decline an invitation.
