FAU lost that may hurt.
Those Temple Catholics may put a kink in the crazy faith.
Lots of other unexpected conference tournaments result. Not good for K State chances
NC State beat North Carolina.
Ducks beat Colorado.
Big 12 might get just 7 in. It was nice to dream about getting in. Besides having faith Tang’s other mantra is to work harder to get better. I hope Tang and staff can put together an exceptional team for next year.
I would like to see us get 20 plus wins by playing in the NIT.
temple is not a catholic school, dayton is though.
I thought this was the case. Regardless, I don't think we are dancing this. If this would have been the outcome last year, we would have been pretty happy. But we got spoiled last year and now are expecting the same each year. With the portal and big changes in rosters each year, it is going to be tough to be king of the hill or slope year after year.
I am admitting am a crazy fat with faith.

likewise. this year was just doomed with na'quan and ques out. cannot lose two starters and expect championships. look at ku without theirs. look at houston yesterday.
now coach tang can go do what he did year one and refill the cupboard. he has his point guard, castillo, and ames will be way better along side. i hope art stays to play with them. coach needs to find a tomlin/wade type at four and a big to go with dng. the bench likely has a number of gone-portal-dudes because more than a few aren't p4 talent.
Why is there something rather than nothing?

One more win and likely would have been in.
Think of all of winnable games we lost.
Short 1 horse all year long.
We were close.

Probably 2 more wins. Say we reversed the result of the OU game and we would be 9-9 in B12 play, just like OU finished and OU didn't get in.

No OU was 8-10 in conference.
The at TT game which we had a lead in last 2 minutes and blew I am sure the Program is lamenting about. But we had several others we could.
Now with that said all the OT wins means we were vulnerable.
We have Tomlin and/or Glover we are a 5, 6, or 7 seed.

To me, the one that really got away was the OSU game. Could have been any number of games. Just 1, maybe 2 wins short. 1 key dude missing likely made the difference.

Correct - I had them 9-9 in my mind and shocked they didn't get invited.

Bottom line is, gotta be at least .500 in the B12 conference regular season and win at least 20 games total to have a shot at the NCAA tourney. Doesn't hurt to win 1-2 games in the B12 tournament after the regular season ends either. If a team wins 20 games and is .500 in conference, guaranteed they will have enough "resume building" wins to get invited. That should be the minimum goal every year.

The refs blew that game by not calling the travel on Toussaint. Bad czlls are part of basketball so here we are.
