At the start of the week we had fall back options if Clifford Omoruyi chose some other program.
Okpara, Ohio State, has committed to Tennessee.
Aidoo, Tennessee, looks like he will go to Baylor.
Myles from Jackrabbit South Dakota has committed to UCLA.
Which seems to leave us competing with deep NIL pockets Alabama.
I am sure this all makes Omoruyi's agent giddy. With few options for big men left, the agent has LEVERAGE.

How much NIL goes to Omoruyi likely will have on the NIL deals the Collective can offer Battle, Baba Miller, and the Amarillo Assassin.
I listened to the latest 3MAW podcast and the Bourbon Boyz indicated that Nick Pringle former Alabama center may be available if things fall through with Omoruyi.

Fight, fight fight.
Free for all.
Norchad Omier, Miami, is entering the portal.
Man there is going to be a big fight for his services.
And $$$$ for Omier.
Wow!!
I wonder if Bill Self just had an orgasm.
Of course according to the media, Kentucky is the favorite for every big name, and the Old Boarhog, Calipari, is going to sneak and woooo pig them to Arkan$a$.

Him entering the portal might help our cause. Kentucky was showing interest in Baba Miller, but if they go after Omier, maybe that helps us in landing Miller, unless Miller goes to Miami. Just a thought.

Can you imagine with our remaining scholarships, we could pick up Omoruyi (or Pringle) at the 5, Miller at the 4, Battle at the 3, and Hausen at the 2? Granted, the likelihood of all that happening is pretty slim, but not impossible. :)

See Baba Miller is going to visit Wake Forest and FAU.
Omoruyi will visit a few more places
We seem to be taking a targeted approach instead of volume recruiting. Put all effort in getting 1 or 2 specific players, instead of contacting anyone breathing like Kentucky and Arkansas. If we get our guy, then it will seem like a good strategy. if we don't get a target, then we may have nothing

We'll need more than one 5, after losing McNair since he's out of eligibility & Colbert to the portal.

I think will all the guards we have had come in and are trying to recruit, that was pretty likely. And while I hope he can get healthy and play, that has to be a bit of a question with him.

Kansas State’s Ques Glover has entered the transfer portal, as a grad transfer.

The 6’0” guard battled injuries this season and never suited up for the Wildcats.

Glover previously played at Samford for 2 seasons where he averaged 14.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 19 games during the 2022-23 season. Also played his first two seasons at Florida.

Omoruyi is visiting North Carolina next week on May 2.
Meeting with Alabama this weekend I believe.
Sure seems like he is seeking the best deal.
Hopefully we conjured up the best deal.

Florida State transfer Baba Miller tells me that he's currently visiting Wake Forest and will visit Florida Atlantic on Saturday.

We are good and getting great guards, but kind of poor at getting bigs.
Wake Forest does ok and FAU is in the AAC with a new coach.
We are a Power 6 school, play in the Big 12, and have NIL loot. Should be easier to choose us, but maybe it is too cold or rural in Kansas.
