It is overwhelming as how many players have or will enter the portal.
I am not even trying to speculate whe will come to K State.
I am amazed at how this coaching staff can identify their targets and then pursue them and deal with NIL representatives.
I can see why old low energy coaches are really bitching about NIL and the portal.

i wonder if cam left for nil reasons? he's a nice piece but not worthy of much nil. those dollars are needed to buy a more consistent player who can get 15 a night without constantly turning it over. i suspect cam will go back closer to home, sec or some other program in southeast. probably become the next selton - a valuable sixth man.

20 more transfers today and still going...crazy! It is also interesting to see transfers quickly commit to a new school, right after hitting the portal. Makes you wonder if players are being poached.

These players are over 18 years old and are adults.
And as such we should quit taking a coddling stance towards them.
Tell me is another company enticing a talented worker to leave his company to work for another company poaching ?
How many workers are looking to better themselves?
The only thing that I don't like is the ludicrous notion that NIL agreements are not pay for play.
When we lose a player to another team it's poaching, but we get a player from another team we are astute recruiters.

Yep. There's nothing stopping other schools from tampering now. It will be interesting to see how fast players find new homes when the football portal opens up in April. Look at how fast Will Lee (Texas A&M) and Kobe Savage (Oregon) found new schools after entering the portal back in December. You can't tell me those guys (or their handlers) weren't talking with other schools during football season. And those two didn't exactly leave everything on the field in the ISU game. I think they already had one foot out of the door.

Employees don't quit the company, they quit on their boss. Ya, money can play a factor to some extent, but the best bosses keep employees the vast majority of the time. It's not any different for coaches. The high turn over, transfers, etc. is a real disadvantage for programs with complex intricate offensive and defensive schemes. Certain positions are easier to "plug and play". For example on offense regardless of the scheme, its not all that complicated for WRs and RBs. For OL, it can be very challenging as expected it would be for QBs. On defense, players who play in the middle of the field, "who have to think more" will need more time to learn the system. Middle linebackers and safeties have the biggest learning curves while playing CB isn't nearly as hard to pick up. Thus, a team should always be looking for CBs, WRs, RBs, etc. in the portal for quality adds. Positions like LB, Safety, OL, QB have to spend time immersed in the program for teams like KSU in our offense and defense. You don't want to lose those core players at safety, LB, QB, OL.
