seems to me we should judge coaches on performance rather than style. wooden and knight were both great but opposite stylistically. same with mulkey and staley in today's wbb game.
Why is there something rather than nothing?

I wish Coacb Tang would some out and say he not leaving for any other program. That nice groovy video is not enough of me, especially when there a possibility that Baylor may come after him if Drew goes to Kentucky.
All of this movement of coaches is frustrating for fan bases.
We are being asked to join Wildcat NIL, but we are not getting an old fashion spoken or written commitment from our coach.

I see Tang as a man of his word. Probably why he doesn't say such words. He says he will go if God calls him to do so. Sometimes it is difficult to discern what direction God is giving you. I am more in the camp of to live a life that is pleasing to God no matter what career decisions you make.
I just have a sinking feeling that at the very least this may be a gut wrenching few days. I would like to think Manhattan and KSU has much more to offer than Baylor. As long as Scott Drew is being rumored for the Baylor job, then I am uneasy.
I guarantee other Coaches that are fighting for the sames players are taking advantage of Tang’s vagueness, and they are telling players you can't count on Tang returning if Baylor comes open.

I think Drew will be offered some kind of extension at Baylor to match whatever Kentucky is asking. I think it will be Pitino or Pearl or Lloyd.

Totally agree. And the irony is that if a coach made those promises about being back, players SHOULD know better than to believe it, given the history of coaches saying similar things and then bolting. So Tang doesn't make those empty promises, and it is being used against him. It's a strange world.SCKSCat wrote: ↑April 9th, 2024, 6:40 amI see Tang as a man of his word. The whole merry-go-round of coaching carousels and players portals makes me ill. I’m sincerely glad a few of you can pay attention and love to speculate because it drives me nuts! But it keeps the forum active when nobody is shooting or playing defense!

Agreed. I don't have enough cares to give to sit around and worry about whether a coach leaves or not. Same with players. I'm glad he stayed, but I would have lost zero sleep if he hadn't. I decided last year that I'm done being that emotionally invested in college sports. Nothing but a big money grab that's destined to disappoint most fanbases.

Here is hoping ADGT jacked up Coach Tang's Buyout with his recently re-negotiated contract.

Also agree. I am going to follow KState basketball regardless who the coach is. Tang is a good coach and seeing how he builds the roster and how they perform is what interests me. We will have another good coach after Tang and I'll do the same thing.wild@nite wrote: ↑April 9th, 2024, 10:03 amAgreed.
