It is fine to not like the blow by hand shake. I find it fine and found webers blow bys were fine and Snyders handshakes with opposing coaches condescending. But how a coach shakes hands after a loss does not amount to a hill of beans.DeereCatFan wrote: ↑March 8th, 2024, 9:21 amI am not bashing Tang at all. The thing at ISU puzzled me. I'd like to know what went down really. Me personally I think it got blown out of proportion by Kellis and others. And went from there. Whatever I guess maybe we'll see how that goes over tomorrow. I'll be curious how the coaches respond to one another. Hopefully the Cats don't get swept in about everything this year against the Clones. I work with many Cyclones fans and have friendly ribbing with them. It's been a rough go this year.
The blow by handshakes I don't care for is all I'm saying. I didn't like it when Weber did it. I don't care for it now. That seems pouty to me. Maybe this is just the way it is now. Maybe there is something between those 2. Yes I know Self plays the media. He's a sneaky *uck. Not saying you have to hug it out, give a smooch on the cheek or a little pat on the ass. Just a handshake and good game or more if you like that coach. I guess I'm just an old fart and like to be respectful, if I can.
But Self's BS about the hand shake was wrong and he should be called out big time for it.
Self called Tang out for the exact hand shake he gave in Manhattan. His comments made it appear Tang was a sore loser and had exhibited a lower level of sportsmanship than Self did in Manhattan. Even got some posters on this forum to buy into it.
What Self did was wrong on every level.
