So glad we pulled out the win, but wow! We led 66-41 with 13:06 to play…wv took lead 74-77 with 2:16 left..outscored 36 to 8 over those 11 minutes 😮

We had a lot of lazy turnovers, wv didn’t miss much and when they did miss they got offensive boards, plus we bricked free throws.

Happy for the win, but what happened in the 2nd half? I was at a meeting and was able to check the score occasionally on my phone. We were up 22 points at halftime. Then in the second half it went from a huge lead to single digits. When I got in my car, WVU was leading. How did we blow such a big lead?

Oh well. It counts the same in the record book. Whew.
Yes it’s a win and a win is a win. But it’s extremely concerning that they blew a 25 point second half lead at home to one of the worst teams in the conference. These long scoring lapses just can’t happen. Tonight should have ended in a comfortable win in regulation.

I won’t say they were lucky tonight because a game is 40 minutes and then more if not yet decided. But I do think they were fortunate because WVU had all the momentum going into the last two minutes and the Cats were flat. I think a loss may have completely crushed this team and would have for all practical purposes ended any post season hopes, NIT or otherwise.

I was feeling somewhat optimistic about going to Cincinnati Saturday when we were up 25 and the offense was flowing. Now I don’t know what to think.
Well at least they won't be cocky and full of themselves when they go to Cincinnati.
The offense seems to be coming to life.
I wonder if not having a full house and the crowd subdued in the second half effected the players energy level.
Thank goodness Huggy was not WVU coach; the outcome might have been not so good.

Why did Ames sit for much of the 2nd half and the whole overtime?

He made 2 bad turnovers on consecutive possessions. He was given a learning moment is my guess. I liked the crisp passing in the first half, but seemed to go back to the dribble-dribble offense. I would like to hear some thoughts about this.

No excuse for not stepping on their neck and putting them out of their misery. If a win can be embarrassing, this one was. Need better players.

Best thing out of this game is that KSU now has a national record in the books for consecutive overtime wins.

Frankly, it looked to me like the Cats were going to preside over the worst kind of ignominious defeat, but they somehow managed to eke out a win.

Any kind of win is much better than a loss.

funny thing is we get more airtime on ESPN for setting the single season OT record than we would have got for a blowout win!!!

Every team we meet for the rest of the season will think they can beat us.
KU and ISU think think they will give us an ass whooping .
So.we have to upset.them and warp thier minds.
