Yeah per Jeff Goodman, Kansas and Bill Self's penalties delivered, and there's no postseason ban, no added penalties to Self or assistant Kurtis Townsend.
Like most said, a slap on the wrist and a light one at that.
Pitiful.

And... the fanbase that has and still does condone cheating, gets a winning football team too. Unbelievable how screwed up college sports are. That fanbase deserves nothing like they're getting. What a bunch of entitled enablers.

From a Jayhawk perspective this shady recruiting crap is being accepted in the NIL era, and it is hypocritical to punish for past infractions now if pay to play from a supporting vendor is okay. Just another turd in the punch bowl. I am sure Self is pushing the limits of NIL. Just beat them is the best punishment and watching frat boys and sorority babies cry is the best

NIL only makes cheating more ambiguous. It's all about money now.

Yes, it is, but it's also what made the blue bloods, blue bloods. The ones that were willing to have a cheating culture were the ones who won the most. My KU friends say, "Hey KState has cheated before!" Yep... The difference is that it gets corrected. We don't foster a culture for it to be done year in and year out. It goes waaaayyyy back for that athletic department. They decided that cheating was worth it. It's hard to argue that when they get off scott free and are 2nd in all time wins.

As Tark would say today...... "Boy I sure feel sorry for what is going to happen to Cleveland St. for what KU did"

The difference is that back before NIL, this was cheating and giving KU an unfair advantage over other schools. They still should have been punished harder than "time served."SCKSCat wrote: ↑October 11th, 2023, 2:51 pmFrom a Jayhawk perspective this shady recruiting crap is being accepted in the NIL era, and it is hypocritical to punish for past infractions now if pay to play from a supporting vendor is okay. I would be curious to know if we had done this instead of KU, if our punishments would have been the same. Exhibit A --> oSu
