It sure would be nice to have a lot of guys return for continuity's sake. That being said, according to the K-State Athletics website, Tylor, Will, and Taymont are all 5th year seniors. Ques is also a 5th year senior, but I am holding out hope he can get a medical waiver since he did not play one second of regulation basketball this season.

We will likely have at least a couple guys who will hit the transfer portal or maybe look to go pro at the end of the season.

IMO this team needs a consistent go to guy when we need points. Kaluma is the closest we have, but he misses a lot of critical must have shots. Perry can be that person especially if we are shooting 1 and 1 free throws. Driving to get fouled has been effective.
My nomination for Mr. Clutch is N'Guessan. He keeps us in lots of games.

kaluma is a pro in making. he's the only one on this team. i suspect he'll have a keyontae type senior year if he returns to mhk.

K State fan enthusiasm seems more subdued this year. We should be excited at where we are at given the blows we have taken to the basket-nuts. This team is not folding and giving up. My goodness they are in the bubble fight for thee NCAA Tournament. Several years ago we would have loved to be in this position.
So we got our whipped good at Bramlage twice by NE and Oklahoma, both likely Tournament teams; we have more quality quad wins than they do.
Our team may be inconsistent but fan support does no have to be.
Get your butts in Bramlage and qut posting negative horseshit.
Get on the bandwagon and enjoy the ride!!

3 years before they won the national championship Baylor was in the NIT.
Not the end of the world. Which is better doing very well in the NIT or make the NCAA Tournament and lose the first game?

Kaluma is hit and miss and not consistent in anything but free throws and effort. His "Euro step" move more often ends up with him tripping or the shot getting blocked. He's a good player, but not a great one in my opinion, and will have a tough row to hoe to make it in the NBA.

I hope my assessment is wrong.

I agree. I don't think he is quite NBA-ready. I hope he comes back next season. I imagine with us likely not making the NCAA Tourney we will be hearing soon about players declaring for the draft or hitting the transfer portal. I believe the portal opens March 18.

It would be great to have the underclassmen choose to return and then go out and get a veteran center and point guard to replace McNair and Perry. Of course, that's a pipe dream in this current climate of college sports.

Ish Massoud 2021-22 AT KANSAS STATE
Appeared in 31 games with 18 starts to his credit, averaging 6.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per game to go along with 36.3 percent shooting from the floor, and 33.3 percent from three.
With a good coach he might have done better at K State instead of Georgetown. Cooley is an egotistical crap coach.

I respect Ish for wanting more PT at KSU. I respect HCJT for not making a false promise to him.
