Pick 'Em

Re: NFL Draft

What about Spencer Rattler? He was the golden boy out of high school but now a 5th round pick by the Saints. He may be finding his way but I was never impressed with him. Don't buy into the hype! Watch their eyes.

Just a Math Reminder on the NFL Draft

53 man roster/7 rounds of draft picks = 7+ years to make up the complete roster.

Many undrafted young men make NFL rosters just because 7 rounds does not cover the needs of the team.

Arizona had 12 picks this year of which they had 7 picks in the first 3 rounds. FYI - its a solid strategy to build through the draft by trading #1 picks for multiple other round picks. If I were an NFL GM, I would always trade my 1st round pick for multiple 2nd, 3rd, or 4th round picks as those are usually the best value picks from the draft. First rounders are a lot of $$ and a lot of risk. Yes, you can catch lightning in a bottle with a Mahomes but those are once in a decade type opportunities. It would take a special player for me to ever risk a first round pick on a QB.

He's a less talented Johhny Manziel. All hat, no cattle. Would not touch him with a 10 foot pole. Better luck finding a "system QB" like a Brock Purdy.

There also used to be a lot more than seven rounds in the NFL Draft too. In some years because of the few numbers of trams, There used to be 32 rounds in the NFL Draft back in the late 40s - early 60s..

Pick 'Em

I think KT Leveston was pick #248. I understand there are 32 teams and seven rounds. These numbers do not compute. What am I missing?
