You'll still have balance in Klieman's QB game, even with Wells/Riley as the OCs. With Avery, Defenses will have to reapect & play the QB run game which will open up even more passing lanes IMO. Opponents of KSU for most of last year were NOT afraid of Will Howard running the ball. They all will have a REAL fear of Avery running the rock next season. He'll keep D coordinators up all night trying to scheme a way to stop him.Tbonespop wrote: ↑January 5th, 2024, 2:51 pmThere is ZERO chance we convert to a Pro-style offense under Klieman, 0%. Not even worth discussing. Our offense sputters against every team on the schedule when we have "no threat" of a QB run. Our offense requires the use of the QB run and always needs a threat of a QB run in order to do the other things we do in our offense.

A poster on another board (not behind a pay wall) said the rumor is that it was grades. It's a bummer. He could have been a big contributor up front. I wonder if we will look for another DT when the portal opens up again.

Sounds reasonable. Many good players end up at Juco for just that reason. I wonder if this is an NCAA thing, a Big 12 requirement or KSU standards. My guess is that he will qualify somewhere. My how things have changed. You can pay players, but you cannot help them get their degree.

Apparently no one ever informed Roy Williams about the no helping with the degree rule...katlander wrote: ↑March 8th, 2024, 9:33 pmSounds reasonable.
