USC and Will Howard
USC and Will Howard
USC qb looks pretty good, not sure Will can just walk into the starting job there.

Yeah, what if Will goes to SC & doesn't start or even play? Lost season for Will on the school transfer process if that happens.

Well, if he can't beat out the kid at USC, he's not going to beat anybody at the nfl level, so there's that. Will has always played better when pushed from behind. This may push him to be even better than he has ever been. Also, don't forget injuries are almost a guarantee at some point in a season. Will is going to get his shot, up to him on how he does. No excuses for his play because the skill player talent around him at USC and they will have an offense that likes to throw. No excuses. Put up or shut up.

I'm not even sure it's even official that Will is going to USC. There are still articles coming out about the possible landing destination for him. With the performance of the USC QB at the bowl game the likelihood of Will going there likely went down.

He needs to go somewhere that shows his growth as a quarterback. Regression will be hard on any NFL plans.
The young USC Trojan qb was not playing a good Big 10ish defense. So would Riley want to throw a young quarterback to the wolves or hope using a veteran for a year will allow.the young QB to grow.
I imagine certain alumni already have a blow torch on Riley's butt. He has to do well or lose his job.
If I were Howard I would try to get a big NIL payday to get me started well in life whether my future is as a professional football player or as a professional in the work world

I thought that Howard to USC was a done deal. Hopefully, he got a huge NIL deal. I imagine Riley would love to go into next season with a tested Howard and an up-and-coming kid fighting for QB1.

I really really hope he lands a solid gig. The young man has put in the work.
