I don't post or reply he hardly at all on this site, but I honestly hope we hire from outside. As has been said, every name mentioned seems to have ties . There is nothing wrong with looking outside the program. The climb in talent and national notarity the last couple of years should give HCCK several quality options for the OC position. Hiring Riley would seem as step back considering he has no real experience as OC. I would be disappointed if that were the case

The answer seems to be clear, hire the best man available.

Agreed! Not necessarily that we have to hire from outside. Just seems to me the coaching changes have been too convenient the last few years. But again they have worked out alright, Hire the best person for the job. I'd think some G5 OC might be worth looking at, though no idea who that may be. Someone needs to open it up. Think Bishop utilization imo.Upser67456 wrote: ↑December 8th, 2023, 1:15 pmI don't post or reply he hardly at all on this site, but I honestly hope we hire from outside. As always simply hire the best available candidate that we can afford,

god i hope not. there hasn't been an air raid system or equivalent that has won squat since hal mumme introduced it at uk, and that includes my favorite, mike leach. klieman is too smash mouth to go that direction.

Aren't Matt Wells and Coach Klieman good friends? Wells has a lot of experience coaching on the offensive side of the ball.
