This might be worth a look, just for context:

I think the main difference between ksu and the ‘blue bloods’ is depth- ksu has maybe two wr’s with good to great speed, while Ohio state has 3+ guys that can fill in- the 22 big 12 championship season, when ksu played bama I thought that ksu was missing a Brandon banks/yamon figurs wr type that can stretch the field. Bama just brought their secondary close to the los and dared ksu to beat them deep, they knew ksu couldn’t- which in turn made Howard’s margin for error minimal. While Bryce young had 2 or 3 of those guys.

Just read on an Ohio State forum that Will looked very smooth today..... That he separates himself when in 11on11"s and that is not surprising considering his experience. Their true freshman WR (don't know his name) they say is a fully developed Jerry Jeudy already. They say that Will is a pro and carries himself like a franchise QB. We'll see, but that is good news.

when will talks about osu speed, he's also referring to defensive backs, their ability to recover - not only straight-line receiver 40s.

I feel like there's more love for Will than our own QB. Just sayin... Good luck to Will, but the infatuation with his daily work and crickets about our own team confuses me a bit.

will howard earned our adulation and left under unusual circumstances. avery hasn't done much yet. this will all switch once the season gets underway.

Agreed, and I love Will, but my point is why so much talk about him and virtually zero about, not just Avery, but our entire team? It just confuses ne, that's all. It's almost as if some people are looking more forward to Will playing at OSU than our own team. Almost as if OSU is a pro franchise or something. It just sets off my "weird" radar. Maybe I'm the weird one, but while I wish Will all of the best, I truly do, at the end of the day, I couldn't care less if he starts at OSU or not. 😎

To each his own, just throwing in my worthless opinion on the topic just because... 😀

Wild, one of the reasons I'm following this discussion is that privyet gives us good info on a player I respect. I have yet to see anything about how our spring practices are going. I am purple through and through and am anxious to watch Avery and all of our team. Many of us are hungry for football news.

Just watched 3 k-State guys run the 40 at pro workouts. Brooks ran a 4.51, Pizzaro a 4.85 and Seth Porter a 4,51. Was surprised to see Seth as fast as Phillip.
Not surprised by Pizzaro, very surprised by Porter. Little surprised Brooks wasn't closer to the 4.4 range. Only off by 0.1 though, which isn't bad. I don't see any of those guys making rosters, even as undrafted free agents. Maybe Brooks could be a Wes Welker-type guy (who ran a 4.65 40 BTW). Wish all these guys the best.

Side note, I ran a hand timed 4.55-4.6 in college when I played rugby for KSU (at 195-200 lbs). :D

Just watched a youtube of Ohio State talking heads, one of the topics was the QB battle, according to them all first team reps this spring have gone to the incumbent QB Devin Brown and yet the QB battle is considered even. My take is Will is facing an steep uphill climb if the preceding is true.
