UNC, Duke, and Clemson would most likely head to the Big 10 since they at least pretend to give a shit about academics.

In a perfect world, everyone would choose hard work, morals and ethics over obscene money and fame. And everyone outside of Lowrents would be required to be a red blooded, card carrying Payhawk hater.

I've been hearing different things about what the SEC and Big10 desire from the ACC. Supposedly, Clemson isn't as 'popular' as some think. And it could be wrong, but I heard the Big10 isn't clamoring for Florida State. We'll see, I guess.
I listened to Locked on Big12 yesterday morning and it was said that the ACC will dissolve as soon next March. He was saying the most likely Big12 invitees will be Louisville, Pitt, Miami and NC State. He also said none of those teams were going to give the Big 12 a negative revenue hit like a Northwestern, Purdue, Rutgers, Vandy, and Mississippi State do for the Big10 and SEC. He said the Big12 has zero dead weight, which bodes well for the conference.
How much of that is to be believed? Who knows?

If this actually happens, the dissolution of the ACC & we bring in 3-4 teams from the East; you almost have to go back to divisions or at least a four pod/quad system to mitigate a lot of long diatance travel for teams from the Pacific to the East Coast time.

Maybe these conferences will get so big they will form internal conferences (or pods if you will) where regional teams will play each other. These regional teams would create rivalries since they are so closely located to each other. They could even come up with their own Pod name like Big 8 or SWC or something creative. It would be great for the teams with reduced travel and for the fans wanting to see their team in different venues. Then the champions of such could play in like playoff games to determine a champion. It makes so much sense. Surprised we haven't tried something like this before .KSUbetcha wrote: ↑March 21st, 2024, 5:54 pmIf this actually happens, the dissolution of the ACC & we bring in 3-4 teams from the East; you almost have to go back to divisions or at least a four pod/quad system to mitigate a lot of long diatance travel for teams from the Pacific to the East Coast time.

it's already unwieldy and less fun and we have four more coming, two leaving. i hate losing the round-robin which made the b12 sorta special.
