I don't think we need Jax to be a breakaway runner. We need him to be able to get the tough 1 - 5 yards when we need them. Maybe take some of the poundings away from Deuce.
Are you saying that on 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 that KSU won't line up in the shotgun formation and try to run the option to the short side of the field?
This! Why is it just dawning on them now that a big back is needed. How many possessions ended last year because we couldn't pick up 3 and inches or 4th and inches?

Add Jax to a 245 lb Will Howard so hopefully they are planning on changing the calls in short yardage situations.

As bad as that all was... it did something great. Which was force Klieman to move on from Mess. If we had beat Texas, I wonder if he still would have made that change.

Love this idea. Not that it matters, but curious as to WHO came up with this. HC or Optimus?
In a perfect world, everyone would choose hard work, morals and ethics over obscene money and fame. And everyone outside of Lowrents would be required to be a red blooded, card carrying Payhawk hater.

Part of the presser was that Klein was also implementing elements of a faster, and sometimes no huddle offense with the goal getting more plays on offense during the game. We will see if this translates to game time. So if I were to bet, this, and the changes in Jax, were Klein's decision especially given how he was personally used in short yardage situations.

My guess is Optimus. Just a guess of course, but considering how Klein ran the ball I am guessing he saw something in Jax which made him think he could do the job. I am guessing that Jax has good vision and the ability to know where to make his cuts and find open space. Klien was amazing in this regard. I don't think you need to cut like Deuce Vaughn in order to find running room.

Sorry, but despite what the coaches are saying, their actions are speaking so loud I can't hear what they are saying. Moving Jax to RB tells me they aren't blown away by the other RBs in the stable. Maybe they still develop into something, I'm just not sold. I like Jax, he's a baller and he's a throw back player - definitely a fox hole kind of guy. But athletically, he's closer to playing NT than RB. Just my $0.02. For the record, I'd bet he could have been a hellava NT. He has a motor and plays reckless (in a good way).
