BREAKING: Received an e-mail 10 minutes ago from our Chicago #B1G source, that said "The B1G will definitely have a Texas school by 2026. As we reported months ago, #TAMU and the B10 have been having serious third party talks for over six months.

Rumor TAM is moving to the Big 10
The other Big 10 rumor is Nebraska is being warned that they could be expelled, from the Big 10 if they don't get AAU accredited.

Interesting about a Texas school in the Big Ten. It makes sense for them to get into Texas. They will also probably try to get into the Mountain Time Zone at some point since there is a huge geographic gap in the conference as well as major markets in Phoenix, Denver, and Salt Lake City to be had.WildcatEngineer wrote: ↑April 21st, 2024, 9:46 pmGREG SWAIM SHOW

Greg Flugaur (Peek Around the Corner) has had a couple episodes focused on the Nebraska issue. Apparently, the main concern is coming from within the NU administration, that they are falling behind the rest of the Big Ten schools.

nebraska lost it's aau membership because of low r&d dollars. it's med school is in omaha. i've read there's some work being done to bring it back into the lincoln realm thus requalifying for aau. but there's never been a school that's lost aau membership later regain it. iowa state also lost there's recently. r&d funding for ag purposes doesn't qualify.
Why is there something rather than nothing?

TM, I remember when NU lost their AAU status, which was in days of their admittance to the Big 10, the NU President blamed it on Agricultural Research.
KU's Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little warned of losing AAU status and set new admission guidelines. I do not think they ever got implemented. I do not have data to support this point, but I think the rescuing lifeline was Governor/Secretary Sebelius getting KU Cancer Program additional designations and R&D cash.

So what excuse are they going to use to trim the other fat (Maryland, Indiana, Rutgers, Illinois, Purdue, NW, Minnesota,etc...) in b1g. I can these conferences pulling this stuff since they've over expanded. Not surprising they are trying to tie into south.WildcatEngineer wrote: ↑April 21st, 2024, 9:46 pmGREG SWAIM SHOW

The phrase “Oh How the Mighty Have Fallen” comes from the story of David, during Saul, Jonathan, and Israel’s battle against the Philistines. The death of Saul and Jonathan ends the battle of Israel and the Philistines. After hearing the news, David laments and sings, “How the mighty have fallen.”

So he has played only one season of football and will be heading on to his FOURTH school already? Gotta love the transfer portal.
K-State --> ND --> CU --> ???

I guess. Football commitment wise. Technically, has only one been at one school academically. But get him back, I say. The outgoing from Colorado is a little bind boggling in this portal season.
