With Sunday being Easter it’s a Thursday, Friday, Saturday series. 6pm the first two and 2pm on Saturday.
The Cats are currently in first place. Only team with only one conference loss. OU, UT and WVU all right behind with two losses. So a big series.

Cats with a whopper of a first game against Texas winning 14-6.
It’s started off not looking too good as Wintroub got the start and gave up a solo homer in the first and a two run homer in the second to fall behind 3-0. But in the bottom of the second the Cats put up a large crooked number with 8 to take the 8-3 lead. Wintroub pitched very well after that not allowing another run. Cats put up another in the 3rd then 1 in the 5th, 3 in the 6th and 1 in the 7th. Horns got a solo shot in the 9th and a two run double to make it 14-6.
Wintroub went 5.1 and gave up just the 3 with 5 k’s. Arthur came in for the next 2.2 allowing no hits. Buss got the 9th and gave up a couple hits, one being the solo homer and a two run double. .
The Cats had a total of 18 hits, with everyone in the lineup getting a hit. Bishop had a 4 hit night with his first homer. Ingram had 3 hits. Culpepper, Day, English and Lodice all with 2 hits. Culpepper and Lodice also had homers.
Cats now have a 10 game winning streak.
Now go to win the series tomorrow, same time. Frost should get the start. Hopefully the offense continues to pepper the ball.

As you stated, it looked a little questionable in the beginning with the 'Horn's homers, but the BatCats put the game out of reach after two. It's also a tremendous positive that the Cats didn't have to rely on Neighbors or Wentworth in relief. Great way to start off the series.bhoovy wrote: ↑March 28th, 2024, 9:06 pmCats with a whopper of a first game against Texas winning 14-6.

We don't need to be giving other teams bulletin board material. Just keep playing hard and get to Omaha.
