Brutal performance by the cats today.
Win the first and looked superior winning easily. Then had game point on their serve at 24-22 and serve into the net. Then just have to side out on serve receive and can’t pass the ball. End up losing. Was back and forth in game 3 to about 14-14 or 15-15 and then went into the tank the rest the day. Just horrendous passing. Couldn’t run anything but high outside. The block fell apart. And Houston dinked the middle of the court all day. They looked like they quit in game 4. Wasn’t really impressed with Houston. They have a really good player and played well at home after game one.
Blew a shot to lock down an ncaa berth. Strictly on the way they played the last half of game 3 and all of game 4, they don’t deserve to go. But bad matches happen especially on the road. BYU and UT got swept on the road. But I think they’re on the bubble. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.

Not a good showing. Looks like rpi only dropped two spots down to 58 which might be good enough since we have more top 50 wins than a lot of the bubble teams. Kpi is another metric they are using and we were 43 before todays match.

Still listed as last 4 in from the volleytalk website, but still very much on the bubble and could get left out. We got left out in 2018 when likely we should have been in and then got included in 2021 when we likely had no business being in the tournament. This team certainly could win a couple games in the tourney, but then also go just get knocked out first round if we play like we did against Houston.

Yeah when you’re swept both BYU and Texas you’re proven you can play with and beat anyone in the nation. But games like OU show you can lose to about anyone. I hope they get included and have an opportunity to prove they’re more like the former than latter, but if they are left out they have only themselves to blame not the committee.cutshot wrote: ↑November 26th, 2023, 12:07 pmStill listed as last 4 in from the volleytalk website, but still very much on the bubble and could get left out.
