I thought Fajardo was a little off today. He gave up 5 runs in 6 innings and all the runs were via the homer. He gave up two solos and one 3-run.
He allowed 5 runs on 7 hits with 4 K’s and 1 BB. Fortunately the offense was back on track after only scoring 2 runs total for the last two games.

The bullpen came in and did a solid job between Ruhl and Heyne.

Everyone got a hit for the offense. All but one scored a run and all but two got an rbi. 4 homers on the day with Culpepper hitting one, Jones hitting a slam and Pena hitting two. Pena is now 5-5 in the series and has 3 homers and a double.

Need the Cats to get the sweep tomorrow and continue to stay in the post season conversation.

8-0 after three today. Goodwin, Rugely, and Jones with home runs and Buss throwing three shut out innings. I think this is his first weekend start of the season.

WVU beat OU today. WVU needs 4 wins against Texas and TT to clinch the Big 12.

Can we? Sure. Will we, not likely.

I certainly think we’re going to need some help to have any thoughts of being the regular season champs or even tie for it with being 2 out and 6 to play. We’re more than likely playing for second. A few games we let get away a probably going to prevent a regular season championship. But it’s still been a really good year to this point. Hopefully they can finish it off strong over the next two weeks and solidify a post season at large. And maybe get a few breaks to go our way in the Big12 tournament and possibly claim a title.
