Re: Any update on Special Teams Coach
If it means being good enough to not have to rely on special teams like KSU has in Snyder 2.0, I'm good with it. Klieman needs the chance to come in and out his own mark on this program and not just try to be the next LHCBS. Part of the reason I'm happy with the hire is Klieman realizes the resource...

Re: Any update on Special Teams Coach
Based on the way Klieman ran his staff at NDSU, I would assume there isn't going to be a ST coordinator. Other coaches will be tasked with certain aspects of the special teams portion of the game. Just my thoughts.

Re: How will this affect our staff for next year?
IMO, Coach Kli is bringing his OL coach with him because of the differences in the style of blocking between the offense he prefers to run and the offense KSU has been running during Snyder 2.0. KSU's offense under Snyder was predicated on zone blocking in the running. For those unfamiliar with this...

Re: How will this affect our staff for next year?
They won against the Cats in 2013 because they were straight up the better team. Everyone wants to say it was the vanilla don't show anything typical early game but that's not true. That can be dispelled by watching them physically manhandle the cats on an almost 20 play drive that took 8 minutes o...

Re: How will this affect our staff for next year?
I don’t know squat about football, but I question why some of you feel we needed a Texas coach? Seems to me NDSU did great with kids from MN and WI. They kicked our a## if I recall, and they’ve spanked all of the big 12 teams they’ve played. Maybe we can get some of those big hauses instead of OU, ...

Re: Kleinman meets Tulane RB
From what has been posted on twitter the coaches have been out targeting new players. They have visited Clyde Price III who is a Simone finalist from the KC area. He is a RB/LB and had 300+ carries this year with over 3,000 yards. The coaches realize the hole that has to be filled with Barnes leavin...

Re: Bill Snyder's Best Team
I would have to say the 98 team was his best. That offensive line could handle any of the d-lines the other teams had. The speed they had at receiver combined with Bishop's pure playmaking ability would be hard to stop. The defense that year was pretty insane too. The combination of size and speed t...

Re: wowzer, bill gets $3 million buyout ...
"but we have already lost 1 of our QB's (Delton), because Snyder is gone." That was Delton's decision. We have a whole thread bashing Grier from the 'eers for not playing in a bowl game, why not bashing of Delton not coming back for his senior year? Well if you believe the hype and rumors about Hol...

Re: wowzer, bill gets $3 million buyout ...
I guess I'm the only one in the state of Kansas, or at least on this board, that believes even if coach was semi-forced to retire, it was the right choice. The reason I say it was the right choice is not because I'm unhappy with anything, personally I think Snyder can still coach this game better th...

Re: Value of the K-State football head coach
Tbones I agree with what you said in reference to schemes. I do think we have players on this roster already that under Coach Kli can be developed into these type of Bullies. I know Rivas has already seen playing time at guard and he's a big kid already. With some dedication in the weight room this ...
