Senators voted 89 to 10 to pass a bill ratifying Trump’s U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), sending the measure to the president for his final sign-off. USMCA’s passage marks another milestone for Trump just one day after he cemented a preliminary trade deal with China. The Hill

it will be interesting to see who voted against the deal and why?

As with all trade deals, some businesses will be winners. Some losers. Prices will fall, and the consumer pays less.

Knowing Trump, this is probably the exact same deal as nafta. But I don’t care enough to actually read the deal.

this was a bipartisan agreement djt worked closely with democrats in achieving. it's exactly how the government should function to enhance the american experience as opposed to acting like a bunch of third-world delegates to a socialists' convention raising their fists and shouting nonsense at one another.

"Mexico was quick to pass the revised deal, but the U.S.’ southern neighbor still has to deliver on fully implementing its landmark labor reforms that ensure workers have access to organize and participate in independent unions.

Many Democrats — and surprisingly, many labor unions — ultimately got on board after securing changes that make the USMCA one of the most progressive trade agreements ever negotiated by either party.

Democrats worked into the deal stronger labor enforcement provisions that will help ensure companies operating in Mexico boost workers' rights and give the U.S. the power to punish them if they violate labor rights.

Some of the top labor changes that won over Democrats include provisions that will allow the U.S. to file complaints against Mexican factories suspected of violating workers’ union rights. The revised USMCA would allow the U.S. to be part of a multinational team that verifies whether factories are complying and can penalize them if they do not."

yeah, isn't bipartisanship nice when it's actually implemented for the common good rather than acting like some third-world block?

I’m being serious. Globalism is the best. Sounds like a victory for liberalism everywhere.
