Historically, rape has been a significant contributor to the worlds population. Throughout history it was customary to take the women of the losing side as a prize of the war. In England they had Prima Noctra during the Middle Ages.

Killing the unborn child for the transgressions of another person is an anathema. If one believes in God, one must acknowledge that the child was conceived for a purpose that is beyond our knowledge.
If the child was conceived through rape, maybe it was God's will that the woman be violated in the first place? We don't know. So if your daughter or other loved one gets passed around a frat like a party favor, it should not be prosecuted. #civilization. #GodWorksInMysteriousWays.

Pick 'Em

"To the extent that the literal story of Adam and Eve is nonsense? Yes. If you want to call it an allegory, it makes more sense. Regardless, the idiocy of the story is not proof for or against the existence of God."

Not so quick my fast talking amigo. You didn't just call out the nonsense and idiocy of Adam and Eve, but the nonsense that goes with it. Would that include the creating the universe?

If you are indeed agnostic you would neither have faith or a disbelief. You clearly have a disbelief.

Why you deny it, and continue to denigrate those who do believe is puzzling. Should not an agnostic be neutral?

By the way...the 'proof' you are looking for will reveal itself shortly after you take your last breath. Not before.

think that's a fair point. just like an 'independent' voter should also be relatively neutral and not always aligning with one side or the other.

who was it that said 'actions speak louder than words'? seems more honestly too...

The story of Adam and Eve has nothing to do with whether God exists.

What does that have to do with the killing the unborn child? Life is full of vulgarities and abhorrent behavior. So what? We live and go on. One should not kill an unborn child based upon the circumstances of conception.

Are you sure? Maybe you oughta look it up.

Gotta be honest, didn't expect quite so many pro-rape responses.
I know a guy that got a vacation from the board for saying people were pro rape.

Get a clue. No one's pro rape. What educated people should be against is killing an unborn child based upon the manner in which the child is conceived. Is it asking a woman to much to bring the child to term before putting it up for adoption?

The fact is, what most people do not understand, is that love is a choice not a feeling.

Now there's some good timing for ya. This just popped up on my news feed:

BREAKING: The Department of Labor just proposed a rule that aims to let government contractors fire workers who are LGBTQ, or who are pregnant and unmarried, based on the employers’ religious views.
