"One of the most significant pieces of information to emerge from the trials was a wire tap involving Kansas assistant Kurt Townsend.
On it, Townsend can be heard discussing the exact financial arrangement it would take to land then-No. 1 recruit Zion Williamson. However, that call wasn't entered into evidence in the trial."

So why wasn't this call "entered into evidence in the trial?" This call sounds like slam dunk (pardon the pun) for investigators who are trying to prove corruption.

Really....is KU going to skate around this. Unbelievable. I wondered why Townsend was still on the coaching staff and had not be discipline by KU.

Reading between the lines, here, it seems as if the NCAA has been receiving a great deal of pressure from coaches, etc., to do something about the corruption the FBI uncovered. So much so that the NCAA found it necessary to assure everyone that something rotten is about to hit the Blueblood fan. Pun intended. In other words, the NCAA has to act this time and in a big way.

I'm glad to read that there are people, outside of the NCAA, who are on a committee that will decide on punishments, etc. Perhaps, we will get this sport cleaned up somewhat.

Yes, Lamont Evans is going to bring some stuff down on some programs I would imagine.

Yet KU still landed a high level recruit yesterday Jalen Wilson.

I still think the non-blue blood programs caught breaking the rules will end up getting a tougher punishment than the blue bloods, but maybe I am just too cynical. I hope they prove me wrong.
