Liberal Ignorance.

Post by MajorAppleCat » February 13th, 2019, 8:17 pm

So, Libs want to have a Green New Deal. Do they even know what that means? First, the United States is not the largest contributor of carbon... that is held by China. The facts are borne out by the following table:

Country

CO2 emissions

Emission per Capita

World 33,376,327 4.9
China 9,700,000 7.2
United States 5,420,000 17.3
India 1,970,000 1.6
Russia 1,830,000 12.8
Japan 1,240,000 9.8
International transport 1,040,000 –
Germany 810,000 9.9
South Korea 610,000 12.6
Canada 560,000 16.2

So what is the cause of the U.S. having the largest carbon footprint: Travelling. Plain and simple, having cars, planes and travelling is why the United States per capita has a larger carbon footprint per capita that the undeveloped countries. Homes also contribute to the carbon footprint. What libs propose is to ultimately reduce. the United States standard of living and have each family's standard of living controlled and regulated by the government.

Auto manufacturing, tourism and those desiring to live in a $4k sqf home all beware.

"Agriculture is the third largest contributor to global emissions by sector, following the burning of fossil fuels for power and heat, and transportation....According to FAO, methane accounts for just under half of total agricultural emissions, nitrous oxide for 36 percent, and carbon dioxide for some 14 percent. The largest source of methane emissions is enteric fermentation, or the digestion of organic materials by livestock, predominantly beef cattle. This is also the largest source of agricultural emissions overall, contributing 37 percent of the total."

This is not surprising from reactionary conservatives who believe going backwards is "greatness".
