Hearing some devastating rumors about him. Hopeful they aren’t true.

From a Robinette tweet a few minutes ago.
K-State just issued a news release stating that Dean Wade will be listed as questionable for the Big 12 Tournament next week "after experiencing discomfort in his foot."

Man, he cannot catch a break with that foot. If it is hurting him, I think we would all prefer he sit out the Big 12 Tournament to get it somewhat healed up for the NCAA Tourney.

I was afraid something was up when he sat the last few minutes of the first half with only 1 foul and was a little bit slower and less bouncy the 2nd half.

Weber mentioned in his postgame press conference that Dean hurt his foot in the game, but went back in. Kam couldn't even make the postgame press conference. I believe he also mentioned Mak being dinged. When asked about Big 12 tourney strategy, he said that they would be looking at the status of the players both for the NCAA and their long-term health.

PDave had a thread earlier where we talked about whether Dean and Kam should play in the Big 12 tourney or try to get healthy for the NCAA tourney. The Big 12 tourney means very little to this team's chances in the NCAA tourney. As PDave suggested, sitting guys who are hurt makes lots and lots of sense for KSU.

There may be an added benefit to playing some of the other guys (including Trice and hopefully Cartier) more minutes to get them more ready for the NCAA tourney and next season.

I noticed a slight limp as he was going to the bench in the 2nd half. Just a little hitch in his get-a-long.
