the "cult of frank" will never go away. kman's sports guy, even though he's coming around seemingly, he still cannot summarize the season without some reference to frank's day and frank's fans and frank's players. it's just astonishing what control that guy had on the heads of youngsters around here.

Ah. Good old hindsight. It’s always 20/20. Not trying to be negative here, but gUessing many of the folks commenting on how great Bruce is now were singing a different tune after the Tulsa games or maybe Ou previous year. Charisma is a thing, no use pretending it's not.
I would argue integrity is a much more important thing, but that doesn't mean charisma stops being a thing.

I never figured out how acting like an ahole equaled charisma. I get it that for a large number of folks it does, but I just don’t get it.WIldWIllieCat wrote: ↑February 11th, 2019, 1:09 pmCharisma is a thing, no use pretending it's not.

Agree with both of you, but unfortunately , not all that uncommon in this day and age.Hypeman wrote: ↑February 11th, 2019, 1:25 pmI never figured out how acting like an ahole equaled charisma. There's a difference between complaining and looking for something to complain about. There's a difference between hiding when things are going very well (conference championship-elite8-eight conference wins in a row) and suddenly appearing with a bad loss.DeereCatFan wrote: ↑February 11th, 2019, 12:41 pmAh. I can see at least one misconception there since correct me if I am wrong, but before we began round robin of playing each team twice, we may have played less conference games or at least consecutive without a non-con?

We used to play 16, 10 against the 5 teams in the same division (home and away) and six against the teams in the other division (half home, half away, flipping to the opposite the next year).
Switching to 10 teams with a full double round robin made our schedule 18 games.
As I said up the way, the current record for best streak in a season is KU's undefeated conference season in 2002. A team like us with 2 losses can match the 16 with two losses if they happen at the beginning or end like our first two games this year.
