K-State has also flipped NDSU QB commit Jaren Lewis from Columbia, MO.

Don't know anything about him. We are late in the game for anybody else.

It looks like he's a good addition to the class.

The Fort Worth paper listed the Top 50 high school recruits in North Texas. We got zero. OU got 10+. There were a few players who had listed KSU as an 'option'. Very few.

Who for us recruits Texas?

You can't really count this year with the coaching changes and all.

Any rumblings of targets for February 6th signing day? Awfully quiet and basketball really isn't filling any void.

Jaren Lewis, the QB flip from NDSU, is enrolling at K-State this month to join the team early. With Thompson the only established QB, he will get a earlier jump on trying to beat out Holcombe or Wheeler for the #2 spot compared to if he joined in the fall.

I think the JUCO P/K Ty Zenter and transfers James Gilbert (RB) and Marcus Hayes (DB) have also joined the team early as they can transfer early, unlike HS recruits that have to wait till class is done, unless like in rare case like Lewis, they graduate HS early. Gilbert will likely be the starting RB, and Hayes has to RS a year.

Gray shirts from last year in Levi Archer and Shane Cherry now officially have scholarships and can join the team as freshman.

Remaining targets with offers:
Joshua Youngblood - ATH Temple verbal. Top 3 appear to be Temple, KSU and USF.
Dylan Jordan - OLB from Pittsburg, KS. Top 5 is: NU, Utah, TCU, KSU and Auburn. Good chance it's not K-State
Gavin Potter - OLB K-State verbal. K-State is trying to fend off KU and hoping OU or OSU doesn't jump in late
Tyrone Lewis - S from Louisiana. Top choices are down to K-State, Tulane, Missouri and Utah

Eligibility concerns:
Clyde Price - RB/OLB from North Kansas City.

Not offered yet:
Jonathan Alexander - S from Kilgore JUCO. No K-State offer yet but I think they are visiting. Offers from UTEP, Grambling State, Incarnate Word, Old Dominion, Texas State
Corey Williams - WR from Texas. K-State hasn't offered, but he is on twitter almost begging for an offer. Think he has eligibility concerns as well

Recruited by the old staff, not sure if still a target:
Philip Ossai - ILB from Texas. Already had his official visit in November, not sure if new staff wants him. But appears he was down to K-State and Houston.
Neil Ilenrey CB from Georgia. Had an official visit in September and K-State was the frontrunner then.

They only have 8 spots open on the roster, with McCoy still being counted on the roster as there is a very slight chance he could return. Players could still leave and make open spots, and/or scholarships could be awarded to walkons, like Gill who played some at WR or Anctil who was the punter in the 2nd half.

I would bet that they sign at least 5 before the class is complete. If K-State got Youngblood, Lewis, Potter and Price as part of that last group to sign, it would be a good finish IMO. Just those 4 would push the class up from 73rd overall to 64th with the possibility of 4 more to fill. Then add in some grad transfers or JUCOs or players that had eligibility concerns resolved, but other schools filled up their spots and the class could be in the 60s. Not great by any means, but the only classes K-State has had 3 out of 10 classes higher then 60 in Snyder 2.0 in 2015 (54), 2014 (49), 2011 (51). Not a bad start for a new coaching staff that isn't complete yet and got a later start due to still coaching NDSU to a NC.

After all that, could still add grayshirts that would apply to the 2020 class, or other PWO spots to the roster.

K-State also recently offered Evan Hull to help fill in the holes at RB.

The 5'11", 190lb RB is from Minnesota. K-State is his first P5 offer, but he was also recruited while CK was at NDSU as well as offers from: Air Force, Brown, Buffalo, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Eastern Michigan, North Dakota, Northern Iowa, Pennsylvania, Princeton, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Western Illinois, Yale

Quite a few Ivy league schools in there so he could have good grades/scores.

3*, 1695th overall, 106th best RB, 7th best from Minnesota. Rated higher then the other RB target in Clyde Price from NKC, however they are different types of backs.

He is listed at 190 lbs., but looks bigger than that in his video highlights. His size and running style reminds me a little bit of the RB transfer from Ball State.

New PWO commit - Tre Eaton.

The 6'7", 265lb OT from Olathe South took is taking a PWO from Kansas State over a PWO from KU and offers from Augustana, Southwest Minnesota State, Northwest Missouri State, Emporia State

He was recruited by Dickey and Klein and KU tried to jump in late to get him to PWO, but the K-State staff visited him and got his PWO commitment.
