Pack has had a good college basketball career.
But I have strong doubts if his dream to become an NBA player ever comes to fruition.
Sad, but a cold reality.
Hopefully he has his degree and will parlay it into a profitable professional career.
I remember at the time when he got his $800,000 2 year NIL deal I was torqued like a lot of college basketball fans. Well now I am ashamed of having this attitude.
NIL has given Pack a wonderful financial start in life. I probably came out of college at K State with $800. So Pack is blessed. Most have to struggle all of their professional lives to accumulate this much of a retirement nest egg.
So hats off to kids getting decent NIL deals. Hopefully they will not quickly squander their good fortune. The House settlement will likely force colleges pay players in multiple sports a NIL stipend. Everyone will get money, but no one will get a sizeable payday is the fear. Will the best like Pack get an extra measure of compensation for their skills? A new day is dawning.
