Notre Dame has benefitted from this. Also they should be down rated for not playing the 13th game.
The loser of the OSU vs Michigan game is set to benefit by being idle.

It Definitely helped KU in their lone Orange Bowl game, back in the 2008 season if I'm not mistaken.WildcatEngineer wrote: ↑November 22nd, 2022, 8:26 pmThis topic has been discussed 1001 different times

Valid point, and it ticked off Missouri to the point they wanted to leave. The Big XII office did not have Mizzou's back.KSUbetcha wrote: ↑November 24th, 2022, 2:32 amIt Definitely helped KU in their lone Orange Bowl game, back in the 2008 season if I'm not mistaken.WildcatEngineer wrote: ↑November 22nd, 2022, 8:26 pmThis topic has been discussed 1001 different times

I agree whole-heartedly with everything in this thread, but, you're trying to apply rationale to college football which always has been, is and always will be irrational.

No matter what happens in the Conference Championship games Georgia, Michigan, and TCU should be in the Playoffs.
If any of the 3 lose an idle team should not replace them.

I would agree but we know that will not be the case. They are just chomping it to bit to put Bama back in.WildcatEngineer wrote: ↑November 26th, 2022, 11:35 pmNo matter what happens in the Conference Championship games Georgia, Michigan, and TCU should be in the Playoffs.

To me they had their opportunity and should not even be in consideration.
