USA is up one at the half. A young team showing a bunch of patience.

I appreciate the skill and endurance of soccer players, but the games are so low scoring and damned boring that I could never get "into" the game -- even when my grandkids were playing and playing well.

To me, soccer would be more entertaining if the final scores were 5-4 or 10-8, rather than 1-0 or 2-0.

All that said, I'm pulling for the USA 100% in the World Cup, but I won't watch much, if at all.

It's good that so many folks love soccer. I just can't count myself amongst the soccer lovers. Too old to change, I guess.

Soccer is popular here in St. Louis, but I just can't get into it. It might be different if I had played it, growing up.

USA played a good game today to tie England. If they win their next game against Iran they will advance.

I applaud the athleticism of the players.

However, the idea of intentionally putting my little bald unprotected head in front of a fast-moving, fully inflated leather ball is not appealing.

I know suggested changes to soccer rules would not be popular, but any change that could increase scoring would be good in my opinion.

Just making the goal wider and taller might be all that's needed.

Well the Dutch ended the USA run. Not a surprise.
In four years the World Cup will be in the USA.
