I saw on Kellis Robinett's Twitter feed that our TV numbers last weekend were abysmal.... Apparently only about 312k people bothered to tune-in. A California team playing a game at 9AM PDT isn't going to help things, but I thought it would have been better than that. I sure hope our conference games pull in better numbers than that.

Kellis also made sure to note that 1.36 million people watched K-State vs Stanford in 2016, when we played a Friday night game. It probably also helped that the media was all about Christian McCaffrey and Bryce Love back then.

It also didn't help that the only other team that played anyone of importance was Texas Tech playing Houston.

We watched it in a bar in Del Norte Colorado. The ironic part was a husker guy was complaining they couldn’t get their game on one of the multiple TVs, because the bar didn’t have the B10 network.....

the ratings reflect a lot of things to me:
1. californians don't give a crap about college football
2. fs1 at 0900 their time - hell, they were all at starbucks getting their pumpkin spice lattes enjoying their first joint of the day
3. stanford hasn't been good lately/neither has k-state
4. wisconsin/penn state played opposite this game
5. opening ooc game

Why is there something rather than nothing?

& K-State was drilling Stanford...thus the game wasn't all that interesting to anyone other than K-Staters.tmcats wrote: ↑September 10th, 2021, 11:40 amthe ratings reflect a lot of things to me:

yes, that too, jokko.
after what stanford did to usc saturday, i don't know what to think now. k-state that good? usc that bad? stanford completely unprepared? i guess that's why these early-season conclusions are so often faulty.
iowa state gets manhandled by iowa after escaping uni the week before. what the hell is going on in ames? texas, lol. oSu struggling. it could be a confounding year.
