You're never really free until you are unmarried, employ yourself solely, and unencumbered with debt. ;)

Even if you are self-employed, you still have clients and customers to worry about.ToledoCat#3 wrote: ↑July 17th, 2020, 7:44 pmYou're never really free until you are unmarried, employ yourself solely, and unencumbered with debt. ;)

If we had a like button I would like this.KITNooga wrote: ↑July 16th, 2020, 5:46 pmspot, you make some good points. but on the flip side:
the big drum.
the 'chop'
the drunken folks with the head dresses and warpaint.
there are a lot of things I love about the chiefs, the games. what happens, goes on in the stands? not that. not one bit. but that's because it's just not the way I conduct myself. much too boring I guess.
have been watching the chiefs since early 70's every chance I get. as die-hard a fan as can be without having tailgate and take my beer intravenously
pumped my fist two, maybe three times after the superbowl clock hit zeroes... then back to normal. have re-watched the game several times. never really gets old.

The change is likely inevitable. We may as well get it over with. I suggest the new name be wagon burners. Its graphic, benign and demonstrates the hair on fire social atmosphere of today.

speaking of division of labor. look to marriage. then talk to me about 'free will'.Opensource wrote: ↑July 17th, 2020, 5:53 pmEqual opportunity given your never really free in a division of labor economy.
If you have to be persuaded, reminded, pressured, lied to, incentivized, coerced, bullied, socially shamed, guilt-tripped, threatened, punished and criminalized...you can be absolutely certain that what is being promoted is not in your best interest
