i've asked the ticket office for their return policy ...
having already given to ahearn and bought our 2020 season tickets, i'm curious how they plan to refund ticket holders if at all. has anyone already received this information, if so kindly post?
Why is there something rather than nothing?

here's the ticket office reply:
This year we have made our refund/credit policies as flexible as we possibly can. We are and will continue to offer the opportunity to forgo the 2020 season for the foreseeable future. You have the option to rollover the amount you’ve paid in 2020 towards your 2021 seats or receive a refund. Both of these options apply to the ticket cost and Ahearn contribution.
Of course, we would love for you to consider keeping your 2020 Ahearn contribution with us for this year to continue to support our student-athletes and their scholarship fund. If you were willing to do that we would convert your contribution into a tax-deductible gift to the Ahearn Fund.
The biggest thing I want to emphasize is that we will take care of you in whatever way, shape, or form we can because we are well aware of the uncertainties that lie ahead. This isn’t a decision that you need to make today, but if it is something you would like to do please let me know.

They still haven't given back the required donations, just the ticket prices. Only a vague response on my 3rd request re: donations after not responding to my first two requests. I'll believe it when I get my refund.

Yes, I have. The ticket office took care of the refund of ticket prices, but refund of the required donations is handled separately by the Ahearn Fund people. They have not been as cooperative.

you should contact gene taylor directly, that being the case. it's really disappointing to read anyone is getting the runaround.

So, if you get a refund and you want tickets in 2021or 2022 when COVID-19 might be controlled what does that mean? Would you lose your reserved seats? . Would you have to pay an initial donation like a new season ticket holder? I assume both of these are true. I am assuming they will cancel and give refunds at some point.

you can reserve the same seats for next year by rolling over your ticket payment. if you ask for an ahearn refund this year, you can then pay the ahearn contribution next year. that's my understanding. it's not like people are lining up to buy your seats.Opensource wrote: ↑June 30th, 2020, 3:07 pmSo, if you get a refund and you want tickets in 2021or 2022 when COVID-19 might be controlled what does that mean? If there is no season at all, then we shouldn't lose our seats as no one can possibly take them. Now if there is a season, and you choose not to renew your seats, that's a tough spot. Someone will then buy your seats for this season, so who's to say who gets them the following season?
Personally, if there is a season, I'm still getting tickets. If I choose not to go, I'll just sell the tickets. I haven't paid for them yet though, just the $25 retainer.
As for Ahearn, since it's already paid, I think we may just convert that to a tax deduction since it's not applying to football and can be 100% deducted.
