Re: Top 10 best wins
My #1 will always be the win over North Texas State. The biggest swing of emotions in 1 1/2 minutes I've ever had. I moved to a different state a few years later and was not around Manhattan again during this incredible run.

that's always in the highlight reel and for good reason, i suppose. people like me who started following the cats after-snyder just don't understand, do we? my kids went to k-state. that's how i became a fan. but that started in '92. a whole lot of bad football before we started writing checks to kansas state university. and just the opposite afterward. what a fabulous coach!PurpleWildcat wrote: ↑June 25th, 2020, 9:04 amMy #1 will always be the win over North Texas State. Why is there something rather than nothing?

The one handed catch by freshman Kevin Lockett in that game. OMG! I had a few buddies on that team and they were raving about him before he ever played a game.KITNooga wrote: ↑June 25th, 2020, 5:54 amfor me the biggest win will always be the Bishop-led win over NU in Manhattan. the OU game was just amazing, but in terms of program impact, I still land on that NU game.tmcats wrote: ↑June 23rd, 2020, 5:06 pmpaywall. another article by our jayhawk columnist, i presume. so, i really don't care what he has to type today. i'd rather read what fans have to say, thank you.
biggest win was against ou for the championship in '03. the biggest loss was to aTm for the championship in '98.
Possibly the biggest game of all, however, was the non-win/non-loss where we fought to a 16-16 tie with Colorado. Where Chad May and the team put on a last drive that featured overcoming several 4th and longs as I recall. the decision to kick the field goal and take the tie (not lose) was an absolute turning point in the psyche of the program.
Remember "the drive" at OSU that year? I was sitting by the Lockett family (Aaron was young) when the May to Lockett onslaught happened. The OSU band was already on the sidelines talking trash to us when we got the ball with under a minute and zero timeouts. Oh, did they tuck their taiks when May hit Seib in the back of the end one for the win!! This game, on the road, also changed our psychy as a program.

Don't know where you would rank the 1999 game at Iowa State. They led 28 - 7 at half and we came back to win 35 - 28.
Not really a classic win but one that kept it off the 10 worst list.

I was at that game in Ames and it was wonderful walking back to our car after the game. The Clone fans were good natured about the loss.
The Copper Bowl win vs Wyoming will always hold a special place in my heart....

Looks like a solid list. Can't really argue unless you add 2000 NU in there somewhere. That 2000 NU team was superior to the '98 team.

Here's another one:
Nebraska in Lincoln 2003. The game Pelini accused Snyder of running up the score. First time in a long, long time we won in Lincoln. I was at that game as well. On a NU site it shows 1968 as the time before this we won in Lincoln.
